why leaders don't pivot

I need to confess something shameful.

From 2014-2020, my India team grew from USD800k to USD16 million monthly.

What I used worked then.
But today it’s old school methods.

Leaders hosting seminars.
Teams inviting prospects.
Rinse and repeat.

In the end, the growth became passive.
I stopped recruiting personally.
All I did was just trained and coached.

Life was good on my ivory tower.

Then 2023 humbled me.

I decided to build a new team in Malaysia.
I didn't need to because my overseas income was massive.

I said to my self:
“I done it before, I can do it again.”

Reality slapped hard.

Three workshops.

12-14 hours a day.
Disproportionate amount of effort.

But then... nothing.

I had rooms with 30 chairs to have 1 person show up.

But a few times.

I became that leader.
The one spouting useless advice.
